Drs. Toothman and Barra and staff are pleased to have you join our practice. We look forward to doing our best to accomplish all of your appointments in a timely manner. To help us achieve this, please review some of our scheduling policies. We understand that everyone's time is important and we all have busy lives. Scheduling appointments around work, school, sports and other various activities can be tedious but we try our best to accommodate you when possible. There are, however, some procedures that require certain scheduling guidelines. Longer or more involved procedures are usually scheduled in the morning. This allows us to schedule the quicker appointments in the afternoon or after school and/or work. This enables us to accommodate as many patients as possible during this "prime time". The morning time slots allow us to have the extra time to spend with patients and parents who are just getting started with orthodontic treatment. After the initial treatment has begun, we usually schedule a routine visit on a "rotation" of 7-10 weeks. Arriving on time for your appointments helps us keep our schedule on time as well. We do offer a special automated telephone reminder system called "HouseCalls" to our patients. This system calls all of our patients the evening prior to their scheduled appointment and gives various options of button responses to let us know if you can keep your scheduled appointment. In the event that you do know ahead of time that you are unable to keep your appointment with us, we would ask that you give us 24 hours notice to reschedule. We do urge avoiding numerous missed appointments which could result in delaying your treatment time.  |
